There are two common numbers in UN38.3: UN3840 and UN3841, UN3840 containing PI965 and UN3841 containing PI966 and PI967.
PI965: Lithium battery shipped separately.
PI966: Lithium battery shipped with the product equipment, but not installed on the product equipment.
PI967: Lithium battery installed on the product equipment shipped together.
UN3840 contains PI965:
PI965 is basically according to the OVERPACK (big box cover small box):
Packing requirements: The inner box (small box) shall not have more than 2 batteries, each box shall not exceed 0.5kgs, each box shall be affixed with the battery label, the inner box (small box) does not need to be affixed with the consignee and shipper information.
The outer box (large box) must not exceed 10.0kgs, and all large boxes must be affixed with consignee and shipper information + battery label + "OVERPACK" +ATTANTION description labels.
The specific packaging of pure battery export is described as follows:
1, with the line battery must be sealed positive and negative lines;
2, wattage formula: voltage * capacity /1000= wattage;
3, 2.7W within a single piece does not exceed 2.5KG, 2.7W-100W above a single piece weight does not exceed 10KG, single weight unlimited;
4, the battery must have a model/voltage/capacity, overvoltage is not accepted, the outer carton should be hard and clean, can not be altered and dangerous goods label;
5, inner packaging: a single battery must be used: anti-static bag + thick foam bag, 2.7W-20W inner cell a single inner box no more than 8; 2.7W-100W pure battery in a single inner box does not exceed 2 batteries, each inner box must be able to attach a small label size position, plus the outer carton single piece does not exceed 10KG(because of different channels, some channels are limited to 5KG), each inner box above the lithium battery label (battery label must be attached correctly, can not be skewed). Next to the battery label of the outer box, add the words "OVERPACK".
